Our PPD Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. Discover Impactful Work:

Supports production activities and daily instrument operations and ensures quality and project timeliness. Prepares and implements departmental instrument and laboratory training programs. Maintains andoptimizes the systems and other analytical instrumentation and ensures that company revenues andclients timelines are met. Assists with Production and R&D method setups. Responsible for the overalloperation of the mass spectrometers within their assigned team.

A Day in the Life:

Sets up methods maintains and optimizes the systems and ensures that projectsrun efficiently.
Performs IQ (Installation Qualification) and OQ (Operation Qualification) on
LC/MA and other Laboratory equipment.
Identifies and implements system related training/professional growth
opportunities for employees.
Assists in the organization and scheduling of instrumentation throughput and
ensures timelines are met.
Assists the scientists and maintains their systems.
Performs laboratory work (aliquot/extract samples etc.) as necessary.
Evaluates lab support records for compliance with SOPs reviews for
completeness and accuracy and reports findings.

Keys to Success:

Bachelors degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification


Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to5-8 years).

In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of GLP requirements and PPD SOPs
Knowledge of Advanced Chromotography
Knowledge of operation maintenance repair and calibration of auto injectors and pumps
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Ability to train others
Ability to differentiate between mass spectral resolution and chromatographic resolution
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
