Job Summary

Float Pool RN Medical Surgical (Permanent Role)

Location: Gainesville FL 32601
Shift: 12-hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Float to various Med-Surg units to provide coverage and maintain patient care standards.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
Monitor assess and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures including infection control and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

Licensure:
- Active RN license in the state of Florida or compact RN license.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg acute care RN experience (within the last 2 years) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to float to multiple units.
- AHCA Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting required.
