Job Description
Job Title: Consultant Pediatrician
Location: Nairobi
Employment Type: Permanent or Visiting Consultant
Experience: 1 3 years post-training
Position Overview
Our client seeks a skilled and compassionate Consultant Pediatrician to provide specialized care for infants children and adolescents. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality pediatric services work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the growth of our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist diagnosis and treatment for a range of pediatric conditions.
Manage acute and chronic illnesses in infants children and adolescents.
Conduct regular outpatient clinics and ward rounds.
Offer preventive care including immunizations and parental health education.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Respond to pediatric emergencies and provide timely interventions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.
Mentor and guide junior doctors interns and nursing staff in pediatric care.
Requirements
Qualifications Skills and Experience
Postgraduate degree in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
1 3 years of post-training clinical experience in a reputable healthcare facility.
Additional subspecialty training (e.g. echocardiography endoscopy) will be an added advantage.
Valid medical practicing license.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
