What will you do
A day in the life of a Sales Operations Director Temporary at Vans looks a little like this.
As the Sales Operations Director Temporary you are responsible for optimizing Sales Operations processes (to include but not limited to) process developments ongoing improvement and collaboration across cross functions to drive sales performance.
You are responsible for delivering sales results thru the coordinaton of (supply chain customer service credit finance distribution and logistics). You will oversee all inventory forecasting exit strategies budgets and management specific to Sales and associated demand planning to drive top line and bottom line growth.
Lets break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Manage Forecasting process and submission across US Wholesale identifying risk and opportunities
Partnership with VP of Sales to develop LRP tied to company growth and category ambitions.
Empower team with the tools to drive in season business management to include bulk management order book clean up chase buys and inventory
Development of best tools to support sales team (reporting and visability for order management)
Responsible for managing sale of excess and coordinating excess inventory sell off with all internal departments including off price sales.
Work with our Distribution Centers to improve On Time Delivery and Key Account Metrics. To include necessary approvals including discounts extensions and air freight managed within financial budgets.
Accounting and monitoring of Account Specific Marketing Funds Markdowns RTV
Monthly close of sale recaps
Establish and manage sales budget commissions no charge products etc. working with sales director and finance
What do you need to succeed

Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Partnership with supply chain and sales to support visability to order book movement
Partnership with VP of Sales and Sales Directors to manage risk and opportunity across business
Drive top line and bottom line growth thru business decisions
Manage EOQ shipments and deliverables to drive results thru close management of order book partnership with Sales directors and alignment with demand planning and operations team
Accurately forecast sales working with the Operations team Finance and Sales account leaders
Manage and evolve sales reporting to drive sales objectives meeting and exceeding plan.
Close partnership across sales team to support shared ambitions for growth
