Essential Duties:
- Maintain and improve documentation for finance-related systems and business processes.
- Track and coordinate changes to financial systems and processes ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Act as liaison between Finance and other departments for system or process-related initiatives.
- Contribute to the intake and prioritization of system change requests and enhancements.
- Assist in analyzing business requirements gathering input from stakeholders and defining project objectives.
- Help coordinate project timelines milestones and resource needs in collaboration with IT and Finance teams.
- Monitor progress on active initiatives provide regular status updates and help resolve roadblocks.
- Participate in testing and validation of system or process changes prior to production deployment.
- Promote knowledge sharing by developing user guides and training materials for new or updated processes.
- Build relationships across departments to support collaboration and process alignment.
- Support vendor communications as needed for system functionality upgrades or troubleshooting.
- Assist in maintaining Workday Business Processes; liaise with relevant departments to define requirements and oversee testing prior to implementation.
- Collaborate with functional subject matter area experts particularly Finance Staff on deployment of new functionality projects.
- Assist in preparation efforts for biannual Workday updates related to Financials including testing updates to Workday Business Processes and other new functions.
- Monitor new functionality related to Finance areas in releases of Workday and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Work with Financial Services to define requirements coordinate testing and collaborate with Workday System Administrators on process revisions and implementation.
- Work with Finance Services system users on defining report needs. Create the basic ones and work with the report writer experts on the complicated ones.
Assist with project management efforts in Financial Services including the following:
- Assist customers in articulating what the goal is of any change.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from all relevant sources fully vetting the functional requirements and ensuring there is a clear and concise agreed-upon objective in writing before moving forward to next steps of planning. Only undertake projects that have a measurable achievable outcome.
- Establish intermediate measurable and attainable targets that will keep project on schedule. Communicate clearly fairly and regularly to team members on progress.
- Ensure adequate testing of any system/process changes prior to moving into production.
- Support team accountability by tracking milestones and communicating issues or delays to appropriate leads.
- Assist with other projects and tasks as requested.
Working Conditions:
- This position can be performed remotely from within the United States.
- Occasional travel may be required for team gatherings training sessions or critical project meetings.
- A professional home office setup and reliable internet connection are required.
Education & Experience:
BS/BA in Finance Accounting or related field required
Coursework or experience in IT systems business analysis or process improvement preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance business analyst or systems-related role.
- Workday Experience a plus.
Job Specific Working Conditions:
The anticipated salary for this position can range from $55557-$69531.50 depending on relevant education experience and location.
