Reablement Enabler

We are working closely alongside with London Borough of Islington to assist with the appointment of a Reablement Enabler on a 2-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.88 - 22.48 per hour

Summary:

This role is part of the Islington Reablement Service which aims to help adults with various needs to regain or maximize their independence. The service provides intensive short-term support to help people live healthy independent lives in their own homes for as long as possible. This is a physically demanding role that requires flexible working over a 7-day week including morning evening and potentially overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to individuals according to their personalized support or Reablement plans. This may include personal care tasks domestic tasks or exercise programs developed by therapists
• Deliver care and support in an enabling way with a focus on promoting independence.
• Use a strengths-based and person-centered approach when working with adults
• Liaise with other services and health professionals to ensure the best support is provided.
• Adhere to Islington Councils policies regarding a persons property including money and keys.

Qualifications:

• A Level 2 NVQ or QCF Level 3 is an essential qualification for this role

Essentials:

• Experience working in a Reablement setting is preferred.
• Experience working for Adult Social Care or a similar agency providing domiciliary personal care is essential.
• Experience and understanding of strengths-based approaches and how to apply them in practice is required

• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
