Data Engineering SAS/SQL/Snowflake Specialist/Engineer (Senior Business Analyst)

Full time: 37.5 hours per week

How youll help us make health happen:
You will be an expert in the use of and coding in SAS/SQL coding languages and expert with use of SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Viya. You will be enthusiastic when talking about complex table joins. You will be able to talk about your experience with platform migrations and how you overcame the problems in that.
You will enthuse about code optimisation and data structuring and talk with pride about your technical ability.
You will be familiar with having to find data in source systems helping to engineer solutions that make that data available for analytic work in the warehouse or Snowflake environment. Data that you create will be used for your own analytics or structured and presented for other analysts to use.
You will be happy and confident talking about these things at a face to face interview with other similarly skilled senior technical team members.
The role is part of the Data Operations team within the overall UKI Data & Analytics department with the aim of developing new analytic and production data solutions based on the principals of production effectiveness and optimisation. You will develop a sound knowledge of the business operations with a high level of data technical expertise. You will work with fellow analysts non technical business managers and colleagues in IT services to understand the desired outcome and what insights are necessary for their decision making.
You will communicate effectively and clearly both technically and in laymans terms to help colleagues understand the work.
You will use listening and questioning techniques to fully establish business needs and help evolve business requirements and solutions.
Contribute to or lead components of ongoing legacy solutions migrations.
You may be required to help run month end production process to facilitate re-engineering solutions as we evolve the automation of these and migrate from SAS EG to SAS Viya and Snowflake hosted data solutions.
