4M Research is seeking a senior level Missile Defense Analyst for our team in Huntsville AL.
Successful candidates will:
- Perform first-principles physics-based analysis to quantify the likelihood and severity of Missile Defense System (MDS) capability gaps and forecast performance of potential mitigations
- Develop analysis tools in Matlab
- Execute batches of Matlab-based M&S runs in a high performance computing (HPC) environment and analyze the results
- Assess potential benefits and regrets of proposed solutions to capability gaps
- Present findings clearly in briefings and white papers.
- BS in electrical engineering mechanical engineering aerospace engineering physics computer science or mathematics
- Strong critical thinking skills or related degree
- Prior experience with the Missile Defense System (MDS) with a solid understanding of one or more of the following: missile defense radars OPIR battle managers interceptors
- Matlab proficiency
- Ten to15 years of related work experience
- Active Secret clearance
Desired
- MS or PhD in electrical engineering mechanical engineering aerospace engineering physics computer science or mathematics
- Ability to reason from first principles
- Strong communication skills
- Prior experience with the Missile Defense System (MDS) with an in-depth understanding of one or more of the following: missile defense radars OPIR battle managers interceptors
