Are you a technically skilled sales professional eager to drive growth in power rental projects across Southern Africa
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Engineering sector for a Rental Sales Engineer based in Boksburg.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead sales efforts focused on power rental projects of 10MW and above expanding market share while building strong client relationships in the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and close customer leads for Power Rental Projects meeting sales targets to grow market share in Southern Africa
- Manage sales of power rental products and auxiliary equipment including used SA Power Rental products within BWP territories
- Prepare and present detailed technical and commercial proposals to domestic and international clients
- Maintain and grow the order book through effective opportunity pipeline management
- Conduct territory visits to identify and pursue power rental business opportunities
- Build and nurture excellent relationships with stakeholders in the electric power and power rental industries
- Collect market and competitive intelligence to inform sustainable business strategies
- Oversee commercial and contractual reviews to ensure project deliverables are met
- Provide management reporting and demonstrate strong self-management and prioritisation skills
Requirements:
- Matric certificate plus a tertiary qualification in Business Marketing Economics Engineering or a related field
- Minimum two years technical sales or engineering experience in a Power Rental environment
- At least two years experience with Power Rental Projects of 10MW and above
- Strong product knowledge of Caterpillar Power Rental products and auxiliary equipment
- Excellent understanding of Southern African market conditions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset
- Commitment to safety quality and customer experience along with knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Proficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively
