Job Description
Requirements:
*Minimum Matric together with proven experience within the construction environment.
*Knowledge of construction materials and equipment including scaffolding
*Technical ability to do minor equipment repairs and maintenance.
*Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
*Good verbal and written reporting communication in Afrikaans and English.
*Valid drivers license with a clean record.
*Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically capable to lift and carry standard construction materials and equipment.
*Clear criminal and credit record.
Responsibilities:
*Oversee the movement and storage of construction materials and equipment in the yard.
*Keep the yard clean and organized optimizing the workspace.
*Coordinate materials and equipment upload and unload.
*Maintain and update daily inventory records of materials and equipment to ensure accuracy.
*Perform routine equipment inspections and material stocktakes.
*Perform accurate quantity inspections of materials received back from the various construction sites.
*Inspection of the condition of equipment when receiving it back into the yard.
*Identify broken missing equipment or parts there-off.
*Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment.
*Do minor repairs and maintenance of equipment e.g. oiling fastening loose parts replacing minor parts.
*Routine accurate reporting of materials and equipment at any day and the availability there-of.
*Coordinate the flow of equipment between the various sites including of dates when it will be available for re-issue to another construction building site.
*Maintain safety compliance within the yard on all equipment and materials.
*Other ad hoc duties e.g. drive company vehicle pick up parts and materials.
