Job Summary
RPO Recruitmentsclient is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Epping Cape Town.
The purpose of this position is to provide essential technical knowledge and apply advanced engineering techniques across a broad range of engineering assignments.
Responsibilities:
Design of industrial machines sub-components sheet metal parts weldments and large-scale assemblies
Generate detailed drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
Prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions
Conduct quality assurance on mechanical work executed
Maintain and update tasks on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Liaise with departments to address mechanical failures and identify solutions
Drive preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives
Compile failure analysis and task reports
Support continuous improvement activities
Requirements:
BSc/B.Eng./B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 8 years experience in a maintenance or production environment
Proficient in computer-aided design and engineering software
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or maintenance setting
Proven leadership and project management skills
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical control systems is advantageous
