Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Field Guide to join a luxury private game lodge located in KwaZuluNatal. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual who thrives in the bush and is dedicated to delivering unforgettable safari experiences to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily game drives and guided bush walks
Engage guests with insightful and informative commentary about the wildlife and natural environment
Monitor animal behaviour and maintain awareness of the surrounding area for safety
Provide exceptional hospitality and maintain a high standard of guest interaction
Assist in lodgerelated duties when not on drive
Contribute to conservation awareness and sustainable tourism practices
Candidate Requirements:
FGASA NQF2 or NQF4 qualification
Valid SAPS competency certificate for rifle handling
Registered with the National Department of Tourism (NDT)
Valid PrDP driver s licence
Valid First Aid certificate
Previous experience as a Field Guide in a Big 5 environment
Trails Guide or BackUp Trails qualification would be a significant advantage
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for wildlife and guiding
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to a remote bush environment
