Job Description Summary
Represent the Fowler School of Engineering to prospective students families and guests in Swenson Hall and at events. Provide general administrative/office support.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Student Success provides administrative support to the Fowler School of Engineering staff. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Giving tours of Swenson Hall to prospective students families and guests. Participate in special events programs and recruitment activities (Preview Day Discover Chapman Day Panther for a Day etc.). Being on time. Appropriately dressed. Representing our School positively and comprehensively. Greet all visitors respond to requests for information and assistance refer individuals to appropriate university offices as needed. Interact with staff students faculty and visitors to facilitate communication and information exchange to and from the School. Day-to-day office tasks include filing photocopying campus errands and other duties as assigned. Organize and assist with regular day-to-day activities and other special requests.
Required Qualifications
Personable and passionate about the School of Engineering. Strong public speaking skills. Ability to follow directions multi-task and manage time wisely while working independently. Must adhere to university confidentiality guidelines including FERPA . Flexible able to work with all personality types and varying responsibilities. Professional and courteous demeanor. A commitment to educational quality A team player Takes direction easily.
