Job Description
Location:Midrand South Africa
Salary: R 550 000 R 600 000 per annum (CTC)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements management reports and budgets.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in line with accounting standards.
- Reconcile accounts review general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate trial balances.
- Support financial planning forecasting and budget tracking processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Manage and coordinate the depot finance team.
- Oversee cash handling banking and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock movements and conduct physical stock verification.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities in line with group timelines.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles tax regulations and internal policies.
- Handle direct and indirect tax matters including submissions and compliance.
- Stay informed on changes in accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by senior finance leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of IFRS or other international accounting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Multilingual proficiency is advantageous.
- Commitment to ethical financial practices and continuous improvement.
