Our client a leading player in the renewable energy sector is looking for a Senior Projects Manager with a strong technical background and proven experience in electrical reticulation including Medium Voltage (MV) High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems Eskom connections and distribution & transmission line projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects from planning through to grid connection ensuring compliance with Eskom NERSA and other relevant authorities.
Oversee the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects (Solar Wind Hybrid) with a focus on grid integration and reticulation infrastructure
Manage MV HV and LV electrical design construction and commissioning
Ensure compliance with Eskom municipal and other utility provider standards
Liaise with Eskom for grid code compliance permitting and power purchase agreements (PPA)
Lead project teams and contractors ensuring delivery within scope budget and schedule
Develop project timelines track milestones and manage risks proactively
Coordinate with engineering procurement environmental and legal teams
Provide regular progress reports to senior stakeholders
Ensure SHEQ (Safety Health Environmental & Quality) standards are maintained on-site
Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering Project Management or related field
Minimum 8 10 years project management experience in electrical infrastructure or renewable energy projects
Proven experience working with MV HV lines Eskom connections substations transformers and reticulation systems
Knowledge of NERSA Grid Code SSEG and municipal technical requirements
PMP or PRINCE2 certification would be an advantage
Exceptional leadership negotiation and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel to remote project locations across South Africa
