Job Summary

We are looking for a Compliance Manager who will be responsible for driving our compliance function - ensuring regulatory alignment developing scalable workflows and advising leadership on best practices. This role covers US (FINRA) and UK (FCA) obligations while also managing requirements through our compliance partners. The ideal candidate is proactive detail-driven and able to work well across teams in a dynamic high-growth environment.

This role is open globally to full-time contractors who can work standard Central European Time (CET) hours.

Tasks

Lead and refine KYC/AML onboarding processes across US and UK jurisdictions.
Coordinate with compliance partners to collect review and approve client documentation.
Keep compliance frameworks fully aligned with FINRA and FCA.
Review and approve marketing and client-facing materials for compliance.
Adapt and improve compliance templates and agreements (NDAs fee-sharing agreements HR/SOC 2 documentation).
Design and implement best-practice workflows to streamline compliance across teams.
Advise Operations HR and Finance on integrating compliance into broader systems.
Liaise with external counsel compliance partners banks and regulators as required.

Requirements

47 years of experience in compliance legal or regulatory roles within financial services or fintech.
Strong knowledge of both FINRA and FCA frameworks.
Expertise in AML/KYC processes with familiarity in private placements or secondary markets.
Exceptional organizational communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Proven ability to design and optimize workflows rather than simply follow them.
Thrives in a fast-moving startup environment - flexible proactive and self-directed.
