Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Finance and Accounting Professional to join their dynamic team in the role of Laboratory Accountant.
The main purpose of the job is to prepare review and analyze trial balance management accounts financial statements and other reports.

Key Responsibilities:
Managements Accounts Reporting:
- Reviews managements accounts monthly.
- Reviews correctness of ledger balances.
- Performs analysis of monthly trial balance movements.
- Presents management reports for Exco monthly and quarterly.
Annual Financial Statements:
- Prepares the clients Laboratory annual financial statements.
- Reviews the correctness of ledger balances.
- Responds and resolves external audit queries.
- Submit the clients Laboratory annual financial statements for consolidation
- Prepares the clients Laboratory tax computations.
Internal Processes and Reconciliation:
- Reviews audit files reconciliations.
- Reviews and monitors billing processes.
- Reviews and monitors admission processes.
- Debtors management
- Revenue assurance
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepares annual budget for the clients Laboratory.
- Engages HODs and operations team on departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Analyses the reasonability of budget assumptions and numbers.
- Submit the clients Laboratory budgets and forecasts.
People Management:
- Inducts all new employees on the finance process.
- Trains new finance teams and walk them through the finance SOPs.
- Participates in the recruitment of finance staff.
- Participates in setting and reviewing of performance targets.
- Enforces adherence to policies SOPs and code of conduct.
- Authorizes and manages leave for finance staff.
Statutory Compliance:
- Processes timely payments based on funds availability and submits returns before the due date.
- Cashflow Management:
- Prepares and reviews cash flow forecasts and treasury reports.
- Allocates payments based on the availability of funds.
- Engages HOD and operation team on prioritization of critical payments.

Key Qualifications:
- 3 A Level Passes
- Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) Degree.
- Certificate of Theory Accounting ACCA CIMA
- 3 years experience in similar role
