The Purpose of Your Role
Overseeing payroll operations across multiple states for a company with aggressive growth plans. This role will process initially all elements of payroll. We are in the mental health industry and this role will manage payroll for clinicians sales and administrative team members.

Responsibilities
Prepare daily bank deposits and cash reports month-end schedules journal entries and account reconciliations.
Participate in preparing annual and as-needed audit documentation and compliance return filings for revenue tax and personal property tax.
Perform financial analysis or contribute to other projects aimed at improving financial reporting and efficiency.
Collaboratively work with the finance team to develop and maintain all systems to fully automate all processes and achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy in system processes and financial data.
Fully manage and perform all aspects of the payroll process including but not limited to:
Maintain up-to-date payroll data for all employees.
Timely and accurately process and maintain records of all regular and interim payroll runs including timekeeping leave tracking position and rate changes bonuses employee benefit deductions 401k contributions garnishments direct deposits and payroll tax payments.
Ensure compliance with company policy and federal and multiple state regulations that pertain to labor and payroll; keep up to date on changes in payroll regulations and recommend adjustments to payroll processes to maintain compliance as needed.
Provide timely and relevant payroll reports and payroll audit documentation when needed.
Respond to employee questions about payroll and benefits deductions and communicate effectively across the company.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures

The Skills and Expertise You Should Have
BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
2 to 4 years of experience in payroll and/or accounting functions.
Mindfulness and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong attention-to-detail and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products particularly Excel. The position will prepare and maintain spreadsheets as part of their daily routine.
Excellent communication and people skills including the ability to communicate with employees about payroll matters.
Preferred Qualifications
NetSuite or Rippling experience a plus.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus.
