Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mining
Location: Zimbabwe
A leading mining company in Zimbabwe specializing in the extraction processing and supply of high-quality stone/aggregate products. The company prides itself on sustainable mining practices operational excellence and delivering superior value to its customers.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the mining operations and strategic growth of the company. The CEO will be responsible for providing visionary leadership driving operational efficiency ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall strategic direction leadership and management to the companys mining operations.
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve company goals and growth targets.
- Oversee financial management including budgeting forecasting and cost control to ensure profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all mining regulations health safety and environmental standards.
- Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency productivity and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies investors customers and community leaders.
- Drive sustainable mining practices that balance economic environmental and social responsibilities.
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing management team.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.
- Report to the Board of Directors on company performance risks and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Industry experience in mining is non-negotiable ideally with either an engineering or commercial qualification.
- Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive in the mining or natural resources sector.
- Strong knowledge of mining operations industry regulations and market dynamics in Zimbabwe and the region.
- Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering Geology Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of effective leadership financial oversight and strategic execution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage large teams.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operational costs.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and government relations.
