Job Description

Our client in the service sector is seeking an experienced and dedicated Camp Supervisor to join their team.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Negotiable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily camp operations ensuring all departments (housekeeping kitchen maintenance guest services) are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supervise and support camp staff ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
  • Coordinate guest arrivals check-ins and overall guest experience to ensure a warm and professional welcome.
  • Monitor cleanliness safety and maintenance of guest tents/rooms public areas and back-of-house facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of occupancy supplies incidents and staff schedules.
  • Assist with stock control and ordering of camp supplies including food beverages and cleaning materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety hygiene and environmental standards throughout the camp.
  • Address guest queries feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Liaise with head office and senior management to report on camp operations and any issues.
  • Foster a positive team environment and provide on-the-job training and support to junior staff.

  • Basic understanding of logistics housekeeping and maintenance coordination.
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work in remote or rural environments.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Tourism Camp Management or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience in the hospitality or camp environment with at least 1 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • First Aid certification is an added advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy for reporting and communication.
  • Experience working in remote or safari camp settings is a strong advantage.
