Job Description
LOCATION: Transportation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Arkansas commercial drivers license
- Must pass and maintain DOT physical
- Must pass DOT drug and alcohol test
- Basic mechanical experience
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation
JOB GOAL: Assist Transportation in implementing State School Transportation policy.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit select replace instruct and supervise drivers and aides.
- Assist drivers with bus maintenance and safety concerns.
- Follow and check buses while in route.
- Assist in routing and scheduling of buses.
- Investigate accidents road failures and other problems associated with the school transportation operation.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Respond to after hour emergencies
- Perform staff evaluations.
- Report for drug/alcohol testing as required by Support Staff Personnel Policies.
- Assist in implementing the Districts Desegregation Plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Range 1 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($182.62/day - $298.74/day depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 244 contract days
FLSA Status: Exempt
Personnel Status: Classified
Benefits Eligible: Yes
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
