Our client in the service industry is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Refrigeration/Electrician) to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on refrigeration systems cold rooms air conditioning units and electrical installations.
- Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration and electrical systems ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical and refrigeration equipment.
- Install and maintain wiring lighting systems circuit breakers and other electrical components in line with safety regulations.
- Ensure all refrigeration and electrical systems comply with safety energy efficiency and operational standards.
- Keep accurate records of repairs inspections and parts used for reporting and inventory purposes.
- Assist in maintaining other mechanical systems such as plumbing generators and water heating units where necessary.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments or management.
- Monitor and manage the use of tools and equipment to ensure safety and proper upkeep.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to occupational health and safety protocols.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems electrical installations and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams manuals and wiring schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work execution.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical and refrigeration work.
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
- Trade Certification or Diploma in Refrigeration Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Recognized Class 1 or Class 2 Electrician and/or Refrigeration Technician qualification (as applicable).
- Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical and refrigeration maintenance.
- Valid wiremans license or relevant certification (advantageous).
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and refrigeration standards.
- Valid drivers license (preferred).
