Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Lab Technician to lead and oversee lab operations in a chemical extraction plant.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead the lab team in executing all stages of chemical extraction and processing.
  • Monitor and optimize processes including extraction concentration separation and rectification.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols quality standards and operational SOPs.
  • Support the acquisition and maintenance of laboratory certifications (e.g. ISO 9001 ISO 17025 GMP).
  • Train mentor and supervise junior lab staff.
  • Maintain meticulous lab records and documentation for audits and traceability.
  • Liaise with plant and production teams to align lab operations with broader manufacturing goals.
  • Conduct troubleshooting calibration and validation of lab equipment.
  • Ensure raw material testing in-process checks and final product evaluations are accurate and timely.
Key Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling safety protocols and environmental standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Key Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Biochemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a chemical lab/processing plant environment.
