Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to join their team.
Salary:
Negotiable
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures stocks and stock values are updated timeously for effective market reach.
  • Liaises with millers on stock available for both the local and export markets.
  • Analyses reports provided by the Inventories department on stock levels for decision making and /or adoption of an appropriate sales and marketing strategy to maximise return.
  • Coordinates the development of annual marketing brand and sales plans for the companys products.
  • Leads the formulation and execution of robust market penetration retention and expansion strategies to drive volume and margin growth.
  • Ensures that sales volumes and targets for each product line are achieved at the set margin contribution levels.
  • Ensures proper financial systems and controls are in place for collecting and distributing revenues.
  • Leads the development of revenue forecasts and margin performance tracking ensuring alignment to strategic targets and proactive interventions where variances arise.
  • Coordinates the annual business plan and budget programme and subsequent presentation to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as the applicable rules and regulations relating to the marketing selling and distribution of sugar
  • Proactively identifies strategic and operational risks and leads the implementation of effective mitigation and resilience and recommends staffing levels and manages team performance and workplace discipline in line with company policies.
  • Cultivates a collaborative and inclusive work environment that supports team work innovation accountability and employee engagement.
  • Drives a culture of performance succession readiness and leadership development across the organisation

Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Strategic Management or Degree in Marketing Management or Business Administration
