Job Description

Our client is looking for a Workshop Foreman to join their team.

Salary & Benefits:

Negotiable

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the servicing diagnostics and repair of company trucks trailers and other logistics vehicles
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and according to set standards.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle breakdowns.
  • Conduct quality checks on repairs and ensure all vehicles meet road safety requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of mechanics technicians and support staff.
  • Assign tasks and monitor work progress to ensure efficiency.
  • Train and mentor workshop staff on best practices safety protocols and technical improvements.
  • Enforce discipline and adherence to workshop rules and procedures.
  • Monitor workshop stock levels and ensure the availability of essential spare parts.
  • Coordinate with procurement for the timely ordering of spare parts and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare part usage costs and stock movements.
  • Ensure workshop operations comply with company policies health & safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective measures where necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing repairs and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare maintenance reports job cards and cost analyses for management review.
  • Monitor and evaluate workshop efficiency identifying areas for improvement.
  • Advise management on fleet condition major repairs and budget requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks trailers and logistics equipment.
  • Excellent leadership problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management systems and workshop reporting.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirement

Qualifications:

  • Certification in automotive repair or fleet management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in truck workshop operations preferably in a supervisory or foreman role.
