Job Description
We are looking for a general manager for our client. The ideal candidate should possess experience in sales and operations as well as industry knowledge. The positions focus will be the general management of the operations and business including the implementation and execution of a sales strategy for the Chicks Business (broilers and layers).
Responsibilities:
-
Take the lead on all aspects relating to sales and take the lead in achieving the sales targets.

Develop and implement a sales strategy for the Lusaka chick operations.
-
Develop and implement a technical service strategy and after-sales service for the chick business.
-
Responsible for managing the chick business in Lusaka including both revenue and cost management.
-
Responsible for managing the farm production both for the breeders (Ross and Lohmann) and the hatchery.
-
Responsible for managing all maintenance including vehicles.
-
Manage operational procedures of all the above.

Manage the performance and development of staff.
-
Develop implement and manage systems policies procedures and administration.
Qualifications:
-
Relevant Agricultural Qualification and/or business qualification (Degree/Diploma)

Minimum of 6 - 8 years of relevant general sales and management experience

Must have a valid driver s licence

Ability to work overtime/weekends
