About the Role
Join one of the continents leading logistics players in a specialist role focused on endtoend freight estimating across sea air breakbulk and project logistics. Youll be the goto expert when it comes to building accurate profitable and competitive quotations that win business and drive customer confidence.This is not your average quoting desk roleyoull be involved in rate negotiations load planning customer consultations and the handover to operational teams to ensure smooth execution.
About the Company
Our client a global logistics brand with an established presence in Africa provides endtoend freight and supply chain solutions across multiple modes and industries. This position forms part of their project logistics team based in Jet Park Boksburg.Key Responsibilities
- Manage and complete RFQs and RFIs for current and prospective clients.
- Handle project breakbulk sea and air freight estimates.
- Negotiate rates with preferred subcontractors and coordinate with internal teams for optimised pricing.
- Utilise AGLs Quotation Module and ensure all estimates are accurately logged and tracked.
- Liaise directly with clients to gather requirements suggest alternatives and build comprehensive proposals.
- Assist in handovers from sales to operations and ensure accurate documentation.
- Ensure that import/export compliance Incoterms and countryspecific regulations are factored into each quote.
- Support project tenders by preparing rate templates and maintaining valid pricing records.
Requirements
- Matric essential.
- Minimum 3 years experience handling estimates in freight forwarding.
- Operational experience across sea air and road freight (35 years).
- Strong understanding of Incoterms scope of work planning and rate procurement.
- Excellent negotiation analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with load planning is highly advantageous.
