Actuarial Analyst / Nearly Qualified Actuary Group Risk (Valuations & Reporting)
Are you a driven actuarial professional ready to take the next step in your career An exciting opportunity exists within a specialist actuarial team working across a diverse portfolio of Group Risk products including Group Life Funeral PHI Lump Sum Disability and Credit Life.
Youll play a key role in quarterly valuations financial reporting experience investigations and strategic insights that directly influence business decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- BSc Actuarial Science or related qualification
- 7 actuarial exams completed progressing well toward qualification
- 35 years of experience in actuarial valuations reserving or reporting
- Advanced Excel skills a must
- SQL or other programming/data tools a strong advantage
- Deliver quarterly valuation results with indepth data analysis
- Perform and analyse liability & embedded value calculations
- Support experience investigations and sensitivity testing
- Provide actionable insights to guide business strategy
- Lead product valuation for allocated products
- Improve and streamline valuation processes
- Ensure compliance with internal actuarial standards and timelines
- Analytical thinker with strong data interpretation skills
- Effective communicator who can translate complex outputs
- Solutionsdriven and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
- Comfortable managing tasks independently and collaborating across teams
