Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide to join a dynamic Wilderness Conservation Programme based in Limpopo. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about conservation education and guiding in a meaningful hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct engaging and educational wilderness experiences for guests and students
Assist in the delivery of conservation-focused programmes and activities
Provide insight into the local flora fauna and ecosystems of the region
Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during activities
Assist with wildlife monitoring data collection and general conservation efforts
Maintain guiding equipment and ensure vehicles are clean and operational
Host and engage with participants during meals and educational sessions
Collaborate with conservation staff and contribute to the broader mission of the programme
Minimum Requirements:
FGASA Level 1 (minimum); higher levels advantageous
Valid driver s licence and PDP
First Aid Level 1 Certificate
DEAT registration and full compliance with guiding legalities
Prior experience in a wilderness or conservation-based setting
Strong communication and interpretation skills
Physically fit and comfortable working in remote environments
