Job Description
We are currently assisting our client a leading supplier in the construction equipment industry in their search for an experienced Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the companys rental and customer-owned equipment.
Job Description:
- Diagnosing inspecting and repairing various types of forestry and other earth moving equipment
- Servicing rentals and customer-owned equipment
- Utilizing electrical hydraulic and computer-controlled systems knowledge
- Communicating effectively with customers supervisors and vendors
- Driving to/from company locations and job sites
- Being on call
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
- Positive customer service and communication skills
- Experience using laptop computers and scan tools for diagnostic trouble-shooting
- Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
- Safe work habits and a can do job completion attitude
- Ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
- Experience in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines
- Required to have your own hand tools up to 1 inch
- Ability to perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Valid Washington or Oregon State or Idaho Drivers License CDL endorsement is Required
