Were looking for an experienced Safety Officer/Managerto ensure compliance champion a culture of safety and support operational excellence on the grounds of an established manufacturing business in East London!
Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of OHS regulations a hands-on approach to audits and inspections and a passion for driving a safety-first culture.
Youll be responsible for: Monitoring and enforcing health and safety procedures across the site Conducting regular audits risk assessments and incident investigations Facilitating employee safety training and maintaining safety records Supporting continuous improvement of safety systems and practices Minimum Requirements:
Relevant safety certifications g. SAMTRAC HIRA Incident Investigations (NQ4 or higher)
At least 2 years in a similar senior safety-focused role within a manufacturing environment (brick/concrete/cement manufacturing experience is highly advantageous)
Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations essential
Strong communication planning and report-writing skills
Resilient detail-oriented and confident in decision-making under pressure
Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to get buy-in from individuals across the organisation
