Job Description
Hire Resolves client a leading property development and consulting firm specializing in integrated architectural quantity surveying and project management services is currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Cape Towns offices. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary environment gaining exposure to diverse projects while collaborating with top-tier professionals in the industry.
Responsibilities
Assist with cost planning cost management and project budgeting across various stages of development.
Conduct measurements and compile Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for tender and construction purposes.
Evaluate and process progress claims variations and final accounts.
Coordinate with architects project managers and external contractors to ensure accurate cost control and reporting.
Support the preparation of feasibility studies and cost estimates for new developments.
Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Requirements
A Diploma or Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
13 years of experience in a quantity surveying role preferably within a property development or consulting environment.
Strong analytical numerical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. WinQS CCS Candy or similar QS packages).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with JBCC and other construction contracts will be advantageous.
