Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced and driven General Manager for a prestigious luxury property located in Newlands Western Cape. This is a full-time permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or similar
Prior experience in hospitality or community management is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
Familiarity with hospitality systems and digital community platforms
Passion for exceptional service and guest experience
Knowledge of local events and attractions
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Must have own transport and mobile phone
Based in Cape Town
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee overall operations of the property ensuring optimal occupancy and profitability
Develop and execute strategies aligned with the brands mission and standards
Monitor property performance financials and guest feedback
Drive revenue through direct bookings upselling and strategic marketing collaboration
Manage budgets with oversight from senior leadership
Lead a high-performing team offering coaching and professional development
Ensure effective communication and conflict resolution within the team and with members
Establish and maintain relationships with guests service providers and internal departments
Oversee events activations and engagement programmes to promote retention
Maintain property compliance with legal safety and brand standards
Coordinate maintenance facilities insurance claims and service schedules
Regularly report to head office and present quarterly management updates
System Knowledge (preferred):
G-Suite
WhatsApp
MS Office (Excel PowerPoint Word)
Cloudbeds MDA Profit Room
ASANA (or similar task management tool)
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure guest satisfaction handle complaints and maintain high standards of service
Promote health safety and security standards across the property
Safeguard company assets and support emergency procedures
Lead by example with professional grooming decision-making and a positive attitude
