Job Description

Introduction

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (FMCG / RETAIL INDUSTRY)

RIVERFIELDS KEMPTON PARK GAUTENGPROVINCE

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric
  • B. Comm Degree in Accounting / or Relevant Degree in Finance
  • Minimum of 1 years post qualification experience in the role of Junior Accountant at Management level
  • Experience in month end accounts / management reports / bank and cashbook recons / petty cash & recons / journals / stock counts etc.
  • Experience in Supervision of financial / admin staff working within a team
  • Highly experienced on SAP(Advantageous)
  • Proficient on all MS Office packages with Advanced MS Excel
  • Experience in creatingPivot Tables & VLOOKUPs
  • Good track record with regard to conduct reliability and attendance at work
  • Valid drivers licence (no endorsements)
  • Own reliable vehicle / transport

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Main duties & Job Function:

  • The Junior Accountant will be reporting to the Branch Accountant

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities: -

  • Assisting with monthly financial accounts
  • Daily & weekly management reports
  • Supervision of financial / admin staff
  • Bank / ad hoc reconciliations
  • Petty cash
  • Assisting with stock counts
  • Supporting staff on IT related matters at branch level
  • Assisting and relieving the branch accountant on all financial matters
