Job Description

Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre SHERQ Coordinator to oversee and liaise with clients on SHEQ and align system with their requirements and protocols and must have experience in developing implementing and maintaining an integrated SHEQ management system.

Oversees and coordinates activities related to safety health environment risk and quality management within an that safety protocols procedures and policies are in place and effectively implemented that pertains to health management programs environmental aspects etc. Responsible for implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 and BB Gap and that they are entrenched into the business processes. Develops SHEQ system procedures and template documents. Enforces standardisation and implementation on all sites. Participates in internal and external audits logging and tracking audit findings.



Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct monthly safety inspectionsConduct risk assessments as and when requiredAssist Contract Manager in audit preparationUpdate SHEQ Notice boards on a monthly basis or when requiredCollect and assemble SHEQ statistics for monthly reporting/presentation purposesMonthly operations audits to monitor compliance with company policies and proceduresUpdating of information onto the Entropy System which would include capturing of reports for all incidents accidents inspections and audits driver matrix regarding training medicals and working and driving hours to ensure company and customer requirements are metHousekeeping standards are maintained in accordance with legal company procedures and contract customers SHEQ performance measurements and requirements and ensure they are available in EntropyIn conjunction with the Training Department ensure that the required SHEQ training is maintained and is aligned with customers requirementsConduct toolbox talks and safety stand-downsDriveCam coaching and reporting

Minimum Requirements

Matric/Grade 12 with a 3 year SHEQ diploma MS Office experience and efficiency with strong administration skills Sound knowledge of OHASA 18001 ISO 45001 and 14001 Management Systems COID Act relevant Road Traffic legislation and SANS Standards Possess leadership qualities with the ability to promote team work and cooperation and create a climate for motivation Handle general queries regarding HSE issues within the working environment Ability to work independently under pressure meeting contract and customer deadlines An understanding of processes relating to Accident & Incident investigation reporting recording and application of remedial action Fairly good knowledge of the Transport Industry will be a definite advantage Knowledge of Entropy will be an added advantage
