Job Description
Hire Resolves Client is currently looking for an experienced Chief Safety Officer to join their mining project (18-Months) based in Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project-specific safety management plans and procedures
- Ensure compliance with mining/construction health and safety legislation and standards
- Conduct regular site inspections audits and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate safety training and awareness programs for all project personnel
- Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce safety protocols
- Interface with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of incidents
- Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership and engagement
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma/Degree in Safety Management or equivalent
- Registered with SACPCMP as HSE Manager/Safety Manager
- Certified training in:HIRAIncident InvestigationsLegal Liability
- 10 years experience in construction
- Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and Labour Laws.
- Valid Drivers License
