About The Role:
Passionate about place community and connection
Were seeking a community-minded and creative Project Officer with a hands-on approach to support and deliver place-based initiatives that bring our public spaces to life. This role will primarily support local community-led events facilitate civic storytelling and coordinate grants and partnerships that enhance local identity and social connection across the City of Charles Sturt.
About You:
Youll thrive in this role if you enjoy turning ideas into action and working side-by-side with communities to shape places people love. Youll bring practical project coordination skills a strong eye for detail and a passion for collaboration.
If you can:
- Support the delivery of engaging local events and activations
- Build strong relationships with community members and stakeholders
- Uncover and share the cultural and historical stories of our City
- Provide practical support to community event organisers
- Coordinate grant processes and facilitate in-kind support for community projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to help deliver safe inclusive and vibrant local initiatives

About Our Team:
The Place Making team drives the delivery and activation of spaces that foster arts and cultural outcomes. The team also create exceptional place-making experiences and implement equitable community open space projects to contribute to a rich vibrant and inclusive City.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a part-time fixed term basis until 30 June 2026 working 45 hours per fortnight (0.6FTE) and is classified at Level 5 with a salary range of $103798 to $108265 per annum (pro-rata) Super Annual Leave Loading.
A current unprohibited Working with Children Check must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
