Job Description


Our client based in Durban SA.
A specialist in a range of Stationery and Office Supplies adding Office Furniture Cleaning and Hygiene products Milk Tea and Coffee essentials Technology and of course back to school range.



Role: Buyer

Position: Buyer :Stationery and Office Equipment and Furniture

Location: Durban

Start Date: Immediate

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management / Procurement/ Sales
  • Min 3 years experience industry related
  • Pastel Accounting
Skills Required:
  • Creative flair
  • Numerate with highly commercial approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Accurate
  • Punctual
  • Strong negotiator
  • Systems literate
  • Ability to influence
  • Attention to detail
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Source new brands and product in line with our clients strategy through knowledge and expertise of the products and market
  • Negotiate the best possible terms with suppliers i.e. margin trade discounts markdown support marketing contribution and sell through agreements.
  • Ensure that Buying decisions are based on a sound commercial framework to drive sales and profit.
  • Compete to be the first to market with new and exclusive brands & products and devise the launch strategy with the retail outlets
  • Responsible for range planning.
