JOB TITLE: Aerospace Buyer
LOCATION: El Segundo CA
PAY RATE: $25-39.50/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational goals
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
-
Support supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms pricing and contracts
-
Collaborate with engineering production and quality teams
-
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including long lead times
-
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
-
Support product production lines as needed
-
Assist in project planning defining objectives and scopes and communicating with stakeholders
-
Perform additional responsibilities as required
Requirements:
-
Bachelor of Science in Business Supply Chain Engineering or related field
-
4 years of procurement experience in a technical environment
-
Self-starter with ability to drive improvements and meet deadlines
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Masters degree (MBA) or related discipline
-
10 years of procurement experience in a technical environment
-
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365
-
Knowledge of AS9100D ISO9001 and other quality standards
