Job Description

Requirements:
- BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 10 years civils estimating experience.
- Proven ability to develop professional tenders in roads & earthworks construction projects.
- Experience working for a large contractor on projects exceeding R300 million.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- CCS experience advantageous.
- Registration with an accredited estimating governance institute advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pricing of tenders.
- Leading tender submissions.
- Estimating and developing systems for estimating.
- Development and updating of Candy templates.
- Development of the interface between Candy reports and BuildSmart.
- Foster relationships and negotiating prices with suppliers.
- Securing new contracts for the company including estimating and the pricing/programming of such work.
- Interact with your existing contacts within the industry to secure contracts for the company.
- Develop CCS software templates and master files for pricing contracts.
- Assist site contract managers in the pricing of site variations.
