Position Summary
The University of Rhode Island (URI) seeks an experienced Workday Integration Lead to oversee and guide the development of integrations between Workday PeopleSoft and other URI enterprise applications. This leadership role is responsible for managing the Workday integration team ensuring that integration solutions are designed developed tested and deployed according to URIs business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise with Workdays integration technologies PeopleSoft platforms and a proven track record in managing technical teams on large-scale enterprise projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Workday integration workstream for URIs Workday implementation including team oversight resource allocation and progress tracking.
- Oversee the design development and deployment of integrations between Workday PeopleSoft and other URI enterprise applications.
- Establish integration strategy architecture standards and best practices aligned with URIs business objectives.
- Collaborate with URI business functional and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust integration solutions.
- Provide technical direction coaching and mentoring to integration developers and analysts.
- Ensure integration deliverables are completed on time within budget and meet quality standards.
- Oversee issue resolution troubleshooting and performance optimization of integration solutions.
- Manage project risks dependencies and change requests within the integration workstream.
- Deliver regular status reports and updates to URI project leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (Masters preferred).
- 7 years of experience with enterprise system integration including at least 3 years leading Workday integration projects.
- Deep expertise in Workday integration technologies (EIB Workday Studio Core Connectors web services REST/SOAP APIs).
- In-depth experience with PeopleSoft data structures integration frameworks and data exchange methods.
- Prior experience managing and mentoring technical integration teams.
- Strong project management skills including budget and schedule oversight.
- Excellent communication collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering complex integration solutions in large-scale environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with higher education data and business processes.
- Prior Workday and/or PeopleSoft certification(s).
- Experience integrating Workday with a variety of third-party and enterprise applications.
