Job Description

RN Cardiovascular ICU (Permanent Role)

Location: Plano TX 75093
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize critical changes in health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust plans as needed.
  • Ensure the safe transfer and transportation of patients.
  • Provide direct patient care education and support to patients and their families.
  • Prevent complications by anticipating and identifying potential health issues early.
  • Comply with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and institutional policies.
  • Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately based on patient condition and team competencies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Strong experience in Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) required.
    • CVICU or Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) experience.
  • Education:
    • Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
