Job Summary (List Format):
- Serve as project manager for one or more large complex IT projects (typically >6 months 20 team members medium-high risk).
- Provide leadership oversight accountability and project management functions.
- Ensure consistency with State of Michigan (SOM) project management methodology (SUITE) investment management and systems engineering methodology.
- Possess and apply a basic understanding of IT infrastructure components including networks servers storage web and cloud/virtual environments.
- Assist in evaluating technical requirements and proposing solutions that meet business objectives while adhering to SOM best practices and industry standards.
- Oversee projects that involve vendor participation complex schedules and integration with other systems.
- Perform long-term release planning in alignment with organizational direction.
- Regularly interact with project management teams to monitor status of budget quality and schedule.
- Communicate with Agency Leadership and escalate issues/risks to executives as needed.
- Exercise project quality control activities to ensure project scope expectations are met.
- Must be located in the specified area and be available for C2C (Corp-to-Corp) engagement.
- Strong leadership skills required; background check and drug screen not required.
