Job Description
Job Description: Buc Buddy Jr at the Middle School
Buc Buddy Jr is a club/program at the middle school level designed to promote inclusion and build one-to-one friendships with peers who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. The goal is to create a school environment where everyone feels respected valued and connected.
Club Advisor Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all Buc Buddy Jr meetings and events.
- Pair students thoughtfully to support successful friendships.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and empathy within the school.
- Communicate regularly with teachers staff and families as needed.
- Monitor student participation and address any concerns promptly.
- Provide guidance encouragement and support to all club members.
- Maintain records of participation and club activities.
Student Expectations:
- Show kindness patience and respect in all interactions.
- Commit to building a consistent friendship with your assigned buddy.
- Attend Buc Buddy Jr meetings and planned activities regularly.
- Encourage inclusion during school events lunch and free time.
- Be a positive role model for acceptance and understanding.
- Communicate with club advisors if support or guidance is needed.
