About the role:
This is a unique permanent opportunity for a Senior Technical BA ideally with previous experience delivering large insurance programs. Previous Suncorp experience and/or Mainframe systems knowledge is highly preferrable.
You will work with the Product Owner and delivery squad to define and document business requirements and provide progress updates and raise risks/issues to Scrum Masters/Delivery Leads.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 290 like-minded analysts where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What youll do:
- Run Discovery workshops to elicit detailed requirements from business and technical stakeholders
- Translate high level business requirements into technical requirements for delivery squad
- Engage with stakeholders across multiple dependent teams to provide and clarify business requirements and support technical delivery outcomes.
- Support the squad through Delivery
- Create epics/stories in Jira per squad ways of working
- Support Delivery Manager with risk/compliance/procurement
- Map the technical requirements to the deliverables of other project squads.
- Raise and support mitigation and resolution of risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.
What youll bring:
- ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years business analysis experience from a large organisation working on significant transformation programs
- Experience in delivering large insurance programs; ideally previous experience with Suncorp and/or Mainframe systems knowledge is highly preferrable.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating across multiple squads team members and key stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to facilitate walkthrough and elaboration sessions as needed.
- Minimum 3 years Agile Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices workshops and Agile ceremonies facilitation
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
