Our client is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative and Administrator for their site in Hornsey.
The Warehouse Operative and Administrator is pivotal in ensuring company profitability through the provision of continuous sales activities excellent customer service and high-level organisational management.
The underlying function of this role is to provide excellent administrative and accounting results; ensure safe receipt storage and dispatch of records management boxes; assist in the growth of the Site; to market and sell both space and the company as one of the leading suppliers of in their sector in the UK.
Principle Objective:
The Principle Objective of the Warehouse Operative and Administrator is to ensure that all administrative and financial matters relating to the store are accurate and easily auditable; to ensure that all reporting of weekly and monthly figures are accurate and delivered on time; ensure that all boxes are loaded or unloaded and match the relevant paperwork; to develop and sustain activities that ensure maximum profit optimum customer service and full compliance is achieved from the Store and the team.
Main Duties:
To achieve the principal objective the individual will follow all Company policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual Health & Safety and all related Policies & Procedures and:
- Achieve the financial target agreed for the Store and manage debt effectively.
- Take responsibility when the Deputy Manager is absent including providing financial and reporting information to the regional manager or others when requested in a timely fashion.
- Accurately and in a timely fashion complete all duties associated with company compliance by complying with the Company Policies Procedures and Accounting authority levels.
- Carry out the tasks in adherence to Company Health and Safety policies and relevant legislation.
- Complete all store checks accurately and report anomalies resolve where appropriate and present to the Deputy Manager for review; maintain and complete the daily operations within the store.
- Assist in the management of the Web Based client system ensuring clients achieve the best results possible from using this service (train clients and staff where necessary on its use).
- CMS complete and maintain all related tasks within to ensure the maximum profit of all leads is achieved.
- Assist with the administration and accounting of large scale move ins/outs and liaise with the store staff to ensure a smooth transition into or out of the business by retaining client confidence in the Company.
- Deal effectively with sales enquiries from customers over the telephone and face to face advising and selling the range of available services to potential and existing customers.
- Complaint handling ensuring complaints received are acknowledged dealt with according to complexity and notified to the Deputy Manager in accordance with the set procedures.
- Ensure that the physical standards and housekeeping of the store reflect the Companys desired professional image. Report and follow up to the correct departments and regional manager all required repairs maintenance issues or concerns closing off once fully and appropriately completed/resolved.
- Respond effectively to the enquiries concerns or requirements of each customer and ensure that all clients have efficient access to the records stored on their behalf and that all agreed timetables for delivery or collections are met by all staff.
- Carry out and conduct marketing and sales activity in respect of the Store and build effective business partnerships.
- To participate in Sales related tasks such as dealing with telephone enquiries and promote the services of the Company effectively to procure new business.
- Train coach and develop employees in the team to ensure that standards and multi-tasking is possible by staff and thereby optimising store efficiency refer to the Skills Matrix.
- Take an active part in Team Meetings to ensure all staff are: advised updated trained and acquainted with new procedures or changes to be implemented after notification by the Company or Deputy Manager.
- Report to the Deputy Manager any matters relating to staff behaviours or management which are believed to contravene Company rules and that you believe may lead to disciplinary actions being taken. Follow the Company guidelines at all times.
- Making sure that all Health & Safety Policies & Procedures are adhered to for the benefit of customers and staff alike.
- Account accurately and fully for all monies received into and paid from the Store according to all Company Policies & Procedures.
- Liaise with the Deputy Manager and team regarding all suppliers and contractors to ensure that the store is provided with the best level of service at competitive market rates.
- Assist the Deputy Manager to develop implement and audit systems policies & procedures to meet the legal financial and administrative and compliance requirements of the business and the Company.
- To ensure the implementation of retention & destruction schedules.
- Assist the Deputy Manager in or prepare financial and statistical information for presentation to senior management or for prospective or current clients.
- To provide help and support to other stores when required and complete ad hoc duties as requested and required.

Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is preferred.
Perform physical tasks involving loading and unloading of boxes of up to 35kgs.
