Job Description
Position: Controller - Private Equity-Backed Company
Yorktown Search Partners on behalf of our esteemed client is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team at a rapidly growing this role you will oversee the accounting function and drive the implementation of robust processes aligned with our strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity and guiding key financial decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly closing process ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy in financial statements.
- Manage external audits and tax compliance.
- Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Provide insights on financial performance through data interpretation and reporting.
- Stay abreast of legislative requirements and ensure compliance.
- Foster team development through recruitment training and performance management.
- Collaborate with the CFO and management team on stakeholder updates.
- Promote transparency and effective communication across all levels.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration and high-performance.
Requirements:
- 15 years of Controller-level experience.
- 10 years of experience in private equity-backed companies.
- Proficiency in ERP implementation.
- MBA in accounting or finance preferred.
- CPA or CFA strongly preferred.
