Job Description

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking an organised driven and collaborative Research Fellow (Project Manager) to join our digital health research team. Youll play a pivotal role in delivering the Maternity Assessment Questionnaire (MAQ) project which is a digital clinical decision tool as well as other innovative digital health initiatives led by Griffith University at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day project operations ensuring timelines milestones and budgets are met.
  • Manage participant recruitment data collection analysis and reporting across clinical sites.
  • Act as the key liaison between researchers clinicians and stakeholders.
  • Chair stakeholder meetings and deliver progress financial and compliance reports.
  • Contribute to publications presentations and competitive funding proposals.
  • Support capacity building including training and mentoring junior researchers.

This is a fixed term (ending 31/05/2027) full time position primarily based at Gold Coast University Hospital  and Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As an implementation project this role will be required to be on-site at Gold Coast University Hospital to manage the research staff and data collection.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level RF1 range $88689 - $103888 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $103766 - $121548 per annum.

You will also have:

  • A PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
  • Postdoctoral research experience with mixed-methods studies.
  • Experience in clinical or implementation trials ideally in healthcare settings.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • A track record of high-quality publications and grant applications.
  • A Blue Card Good Clinical Practice certificate and current criminal history check (or the ability to obtain).
  • Experience with First Nations research (highly regarded).
