Description
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to support the U.S. Armys Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO). Requires a seasoned contracting professional with deep expertise in cradle-to-grave contract management within the DoD environment. The contract manager must demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. Manage full contract lifecycle from development and negotiation through administration and closeout while ensuring compliance regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop acquisition packages and supporting contract documentation
Provide guidance and training to team.
Recommend appropriate contract types and methods including for time-sensitive or complex procurements
Establish and track acquisition milestones to ensure timely award execution
Prepare and staff acquisition-related documents including market research reports procurement plans justifications determinations and findings
Review Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS) to ensure clarity and completeness of requirements
Provide expert advice guidance and training to technical and program personnel on procurement strategy contractual language and acquisition policies
Analyze and manage complex datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel functionality and present insights professionally
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 12 years of direct relevant DoD cradle-to-grave contracting experience
Strong knowledge of federal procurement methodologies
Major systems Research & Development (R&D)
Complex program acquisitions
Demonstrated expertise in drafting and managing pre- and post-award contract documentation
High level of professionalism excellent interpersonal and written communication skills strong analytical and research abilities and meticulous attention to detail
Familiarity with contract types such as IDIQ CPFF and FFP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
Must be available for full-time on-site work at Redstone Arsenal AL
