Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative is a company ambassador focused on supporting our customers and OEM partners and is an essential component of the Sales team. This is a dynamic role requiring someone organized with superb attention to detail comfortable navigating ambiguity and who approaches even mundane tasks with a sense of urgency and a bias for action.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to general customer inquiries and requests for information.
  • Prepare and submit quotes and proposals ensuring accuracy and compliance with various federal and industry requirements.
  • Assist the Sales team with order entry preparing contract and proposal documents customer requirements and post-sale support.
  • Proactively engage with customers to gather information discuss new initiatives check in confirm details resolve issues and follow up.
  • Effective collaboration across various internal teams while coordinating with external OEM partners to achieve seamless order fulfillment that meets customer expectations is essential.
  • Manage the company presence in various customer portals keeping representations and certifications current responding to RFQs and downloading purchase orders.
  • Periodically search and review public sources for open solicitations and new sales opportunities that align with company strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent support and consistent follow through.
  • Build a strong understanding of our customer base and product lines.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 years in a sales customer service sales support or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent education and/or work experience.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility gain trust influence persuade and build and maintain strong relationships with customers suppliers and colleagues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for understanding and communicating technical concepts and solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • US citizenship required.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Understanding of the sales lifecycle particularly DoD acquisition and proposal processes.
  • Familiarity with the marine oil and gas hydrocarbon or offshore industries.
  • Strong grasp of federal contracting requirements and regulations including FAR DFARS NAVSEA and ITAR.
  • Experience with Sage or other ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and workflows MS Dynamics is a plus.
